Alfred’s story begins in Zimbabwe, where he walked to school barefoot in his first year of primary school and went on to earn a PhD in Australia. Education, entrepreneurship, and Ubuntu shaped a path from rural beginnings to stages across Australia and beyond.
As founder of Aussie Books for Zim, Alfred has helped build libraries for disadvantaged school children in rural Zimbabwe, turning discarded Australian books into community-owned learning spaces.
Alfred is a TEDx speaker, recipient of the Lord Mayor’s Excellence Award (2018), and has led people and culture work with organisations that want teams to perform without losing their humanity.
